We’re looking for someone with a strong creative and visual eye, who takes ownership of the entire design process.
You are graphically and communicatively strong, and you lead the creative process around a project from A to Z. That begins with a briefing and ends with print-ready files, design guidelines and a satisfied client.

This is neither a purely executional design role nor a pure project management role. It is the combination of both: creativity and organisation, aesthetics and strategy, design and client contact, all brought together in one profile.

At BLACKBIRDS, we are looking for a temporary replacement for a colleague who is going on maternity leave. The contract runs from July through December, with the explicit possibility of being converted into a permanent contract afterwards.

What you will do

• You translate client questions and briefings into strong, well-considered concepts and visually compelling designs.
• You work on graphic design, packaging design, product labels, packshots and AI-driven imagery.
• You manage the entire design process: from first sketch to print-ready files, including pre-press and coordination with printers and production partners.

Who you are

• You have 3 to 5 years of experience in graphic design, packaging design or brand design within FMCG or retail, at a studio, agency or in-house.
• You have a natural command of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. Knowledge of SolidWorks, KeyShot or 3D visualisation is a plus.
• You work fluently with AI tools for image creation and know how to deploy them where they add value.
• You are comfortable in direct client contact: clear, structured, and with an opinion you are willing to back up.

Working in the front-end of product design, you provide strategic advice to clients, from idea generation to the design of technically verified products.
